Aftermarket Screen

Use this screen to set up the defaults for processing alternate parts. If you accessed this screen through the workfile, and not through the profile, you can view the data, but you cannot change it.

Description of fields on the screen

Field Label Description
Part Type Select the ARO (Aftermarket, Reconditioned, and Optional OEM) option in order to display this screen.

Aftermarket

This pane allows you to select the Aftermarket part options.

Aftermarket - Selection Method

Make a selection from the droplist. Options include:
Manually List will require you to open the database manually during the estimating when you want to see if Aftermarket parts are available.
Automatically List will cause the program to display available Aftermarket parts as soon as they are detected.
Automatically Select tells the program to highlight the available Aftermarket Part and to insert it into your estimate.

Aftermarket - Price Selection

This option determines the method by which the program decides which parts to display or select. The program defaults this field to Average.

Make a selection from the droplist. Average tells the program to select the part with a price close to the average of all part prices. Lowest tells the program to select the part with the lowest price.

Aftermarket - Terminology

This option determines the terminology by which Aftermarket parts will be identified on the estimate and reports. The program defaults this field to A/M. Make a selection from the droplist. The valid values are A/M, Qual Repl Parts, Comp Repl Parts, and Non OEM.

Aftermarket - Aftermarket Selection Criteria

This option determines which Aftermarket parts will be displayed. The program defaults these fields to Show All. Make a selection for each part. Valid values are Show CAPA, Show All, and Show None.

Optional OEM - Selection Method

This option determines the method by which the program will select and display Optional OEM parts. The program defaults this to Manually List. Make a selection from the droplist. Options include:
Manually List will require you to open the database manually during the estimating when you want to see if Optional OEM parts are available.
Automatically List will cause the program to display available Optional OEM parts as soon as they are detected.
Automatically Select tells the program to highlight the available Optional OEM Part and to insert it into your estimate.

Optional OEM - Terminology

This option determines the terminology by which Optional OEM parts will be identified on the estimate and reports. The program defaults this field to Opt OEM. Prior to the 6.4 release, the valid values were Opt OEM and Alt OEM. The terms OEM, and Non OEM were added in the 6.4 release and higher.

Reconditioned - Selection Method

This option determines the method by which the program will select and display Reconditioned parts. The program defaults this to Manually List. Make a selection from the droplist. Options include:
Manually List will require you to open the database manually during the estimating when you want to see if Reconditioned parts are available.
Automatically List will cause the program to display available Reconditioned parts as soon as they are detected.
Automatically Select tells the program to highlight the available Reconditioned OEM Part and to insert it into your estimate.
